Super-simple gravity filter for wild camping

Be free to drink anytime, anywhere: the Katadyn Gravity BeFree Filter is the perfect water filter for wild camps and other outdoor adventures. This compact and ultralight hollow fibre filter weighs just 192 g, but is able to remove bacteria, cysts and sediment thanks to its ultra-fine pore size of 0.1 micron (0.0001 mm). The collapsible 3-litre PVA- and BPA-free pouch packs small to fit into a rucksack. It is simple to use: hang, fill, set up camp and, before you know it, a flow rate of up to 2 litres per minute has filled the bag with safe, clean water. With a total capacity of 1,000 litres, depending on the water quality, it’s a fast and light filter that will see you through plenty of adventures. It’s fuss-free too. The integrated bail handle on the nozzle simplifies filling, the practical carry strap makes fetching water from a river easier and the filter can be hung on a nearby tree or even your tent once full. The membrane is easily cleaned at home or in the field by simply shaking or swishing the filter in water, with no backflushing or specials tools required.
