Who ate all the pies?

In Scotland, the laird of the pies is probably the Scotch pie, or perhaps the macaroni pie. In Birmingham, it has to be the Balti pie. In London, the steak and kidney is classic cockney fodder. In Wigan, the spiritual home of the pie – it is, after all, where the annual World Pie Eating Championship is held – nothing holds a candle to a meat and potato, sometimes served up as a Wigan Slappy.
