Description

High-capacity bum-bag built for big days on the trail

In decent weather, hiking with just a hip pack is wonderfully liberating – but unfortunately most of the bum-bags on the market are designed for city breaks, festivals and general-purpose travel rather than trekking or running. This 6-litre Abisko hip pack, however, was built for big days in the great outdoors, with an adjustable waist belt, ventilated foam lumbar panel and compression straps to trim the load in. Not only is it seriously comfortable over long distances, but it’ll take a surprising amount of stuff too. Two separate bottle pockets free up a lot of space in the main 6-litre compartment, and you’ve also got shock cord on the front for attaching trekking poles, a small tripod or a rolled up layer. In the right conditions, it’s a genuinely viable alternative to a daypack.
