This portable water filter is a great choice whether you’re hiking in the mountains or travelling in your camper van, but also deserves a place in your emergency kitbag or travel rucksack. The Katadyn Combi filter offers two-stage filtration for extra peace of mind, consisting of a tried and tested ceramic depth filter as well as an activated carbon filter. The ceramic stage removes bacteria, protozoa and other disease-causing agents via ultra-fine pores of 0,2 microns (0,0002mm). The activated carbon filter removes chemical traces and improves water taste. In areas where you don’t need the latter, it’s simple to change to single-stage, ceramic-only operation. Flow rate is a steady 1 litre per minute and the capacity is up to 50,000 litres, depending on water quality. The activated carbon element should be renewed after 400 litres. Also included is a handy faucet kit that adapts the filter to fit a tap, making the Combi ideal for use in homes and hotels, as well as boats or cabins.
