Travelling can be tough on bags. They get shoved in holds, thrown into baggage carts and chucked onto airport carousels, then squeezed into lockers or stuffed in the back of rental cars. And if you’re going on far-flung adventures or serious expeditions, the demands get even greater. What you need is a duffel that can take serious abuse. The Ortlieb Duffle RG is a tough, fully waterproof travel bag with heavy-duty rolling wheels and a telescopic aluminium handle. Available in three different capacities, there’s a size for you whether you need a roomy weekend bag, a multi-day tripper or a deluxe gear-hauler. All are built from the same tough and waterproof PU-coated polyester, with a chunky waterproof TIZIP zipper. It can quickly be converted into a backpack by using the padded handles as shoulder straps. Internal straps compress the volume, and the bag can even be secured with a travel padlock through a wire loop at the zipper.
