This fire steel is comprised of a ferrocerium rod and a striker made from knife steel that generates 2,982°C sparks to get your fire going with ease. And it’s engineered to last 20,000 strikes, making if far more sustainable than matches or lighters. The striker and rod also nest together for added portability. And the included paracord loop even has an inner jute strand that can be used as tinder in an emergency or survival situation.
