Designed to be used in conjunction with a fixed-blade knife, the Exotac fireROD is the perfect fire-starting tool for camping, bushcraft and survival. Just strike down the rod towards a pile of tinder using the spine of your knife to unleash a wave of sparks. Unlike most matches and lighters, it’ll still work even it gets wet, making it a great tool for any emergency situation. The ferrocerium rod is replaceable too, so you won’t need to discard the fireROD when the rod is worn out (though it’s good for thousands of strikes). There’s also a built-in tinder compartment hidden inside the rod’s anodised aluminium body, allowing you to keep a stash of dry tinder handy at all times.
